AFC manufactures four different air make-up systems - three heated and one fresh air only. The first of these is the DFM heated air make-up system. It consists of the DFM800R (for standard booths) and the DFM2000 (for larger truck booths). The DFM is a direct fired air make-up system. This means that the system fires directly into the air stream. Firing directly into the air stream results in 98% efficiency, providing a rapid temperature rise in the booth and saving you money on operation cost. During the baking (curing) cycle, this system re-circulates the intake air several times around the heater prior to entering the booth for a higher temperature rise and a cleaner burn.
DFM800R/DFM2000 Two-stage or full modulation direct fired air make-up system designed for use on automotive spray booths. Damper in the system allows for multiple passes through the furnace resulting in higher temperature rise in the bake cycle.
The second system is the AMS air make-up system, consisting of the AMS1000 (for standard booths) and the AMS2000 (for larger truck booths). This system is also a direct fired air make-up system. It works exactly like the DFM systems without the re-circulation option.
AMS1000/AMS2000 Two-stage or variable frequency drive, direct fired air make-up system designed for use on automotive spray booths. Variable frequency drive allows for additional heating adjustment during the bake cycle.
The third heated air make-up system is designed for area where less heat is needed. Unlike the first two systems, this one is an indirect heater. It fires into a heating chamber instead of directly into the air stream. This system is designed for use with our reversed air flow booth and consists of model OAS400 for an outside attached air make-up system and AS400 for an inside attached air make-up system. Although designed for use with the reversed air flow booth, it is easily adaptable for use with other booths as well.
AS400/OAS400 Indirect fired air make-up system designed for use on automotive spray booths. This air make-up system is designed for milder and warmer climate where small temperature rise is required.
The fourth system is designed for systems that require only fresh air intake for positive booth pressure.
AMS000 Fresh air make-up system designed for balancing the air pressure inside spray booths. This system has no heating and is used to provide positive pressure to new or existing spray booths only.
JetAir System The JetAir System is a cost effective, versatile system that significantly reduces the cure or dry time of both solvent and waterborne coatings. Reduce flash time of waterborne basecoat to as low as 2.5 minutes! Click on the link above or the picture to the left to view a brochure on the JetAir System.
AFC’s Turbo Cure System This new system utilizes four fans mounted in the upper four corners of the spray booth, which circulate air in the booth during the cure.
In addition to the different air make-up systems, AFC also manufactures drying enclosures. Drying enclosures are designed to be used with your spray booth to improve the efficiency of your spray booth by enabling greater utilization of the spray booth itself. After the vehicle has been sprayed, it is moved into the drying enclosure where drying is carried on. The spray booth is immediately available to begin work on the next vehicle. The rate of production can be significantly increased by this system.

AFC also custom-builds other specialized systems to meet individual needs. Also refer to our industrial page for industrial ovens and other heating systems. |
