Interest in waterborne paint systems and the equipment to apply and cure these paint systems has become the most important subject since federal, state and local government agencies have made it mandatory to reduce VOC emissions.

All of the refinish paint manufacturers have ramped up their waterborne paint systems and are actively promoting them and converting customers into using waterborne. If they don't, they will not have products to sell when VOC limits become the law of the land.

Most refinish operations will be able to retro fit their current equipment to make the use of waterborne paint more efficient.

Methods currently being used are:

• Portable air accelerators
• Ceiling and/or corner fans
• Corner and side tower accelerators

• Heat and humidity control air in booth
