The booth shown here is an example of a typical body shop spray booth. The booth is a side down draft design with an exhaust box on each side of the booth and a make air plenum on the top of the booth with filters in the ceiling. Air enters the top of the booth through the filters and is pulled downward and to each side by the exhaust fans mounted on the side exhaust boxes. This booth requires no pit in the floor and is economical to install and still have a down draft air flow. Heated make up air is input to the top air plenum and the booth air flow can be balanced with VFD control.
